R-E-S-P-E-C-T, FIND OUT WHAT IT MEANS TO ME.

Seriously? It's pretty sad I have to bring something like this up in the first place. Humans deserve respect. Even animals do, but that's besides the point. So, even if you don't feel like it, respect EVERY person on this site. NO MATTER WHAT.. Please, think about others. If you don't feel like respecting every single person on this site, then DO NOT join. Because chances are, if you're the one being disrespected, then the person who is doing the disrespecting is, most likely, going to be banned and/or deleted. The only exception to this rule is if you are in character.

The LoT Staff and You.

Please please PLEASE listen to the staff! It's not fair to them or anyone else if you don't. It's also not right. So, even if you think staff are stupid, and all that other happy-horse crap, just remember; We have the power to ban you... xD No, seriously. We do. Anyone who decides to get on any of the staff's nerves by not being respectful to them will have to answer to me [ Fallenstar ], the main admin. BEWARE MY AWESOME POWERS TO BAN YOU. DDD:<

BULLIES. Ughhh.

This might sound kind of harsh, but bullies, in my opinion, should drop. Dead. Cyber-bullies are no different. Did you know there are a couple of people who actually KILL themselves because of bullies? This isn't even something to joke about! No one cares if you're a bully in character, but, if you see someone being bullied or doing the bullying, report them. Give as much evidence as you can! Man, even take a screenshot, then PM it to Fallenstar! It's OK to be a tattle-tail. No one is going to care if you're a "snitch." And if you show us that the bully was being a bully, even just telling us, the bully will be taken care of. So don't worry, be happy~

Auto-Hitting / God-Modding!

UGH. Do you know how annoying it is to have someone dodge all your attacks and/or hit you in RP without your say-so? It's horrible! God-Modding is when you act like a god in RP, and you dodge everything, never giving the person who is attacking you the chance to land a few blows. Auto-Hitting is just as bad. If you Auto-Hit someone, it means that you say you randomly attack someone and hit them before they can do anything. Even if you're like,
Person I:
He turned to the warrior, growling. "Why don't you stop what you're doing and look at me?" Then his snarl turned to a slight grin as the other cat lifted her gaze to his.
Then the second person will be like,
Person II:
[ooc - Wait a minute! I didn't say that! D:]
And another thing. If someone Auto-Hits or God-Mods, stay calm! It's seriously annoying, but just be kind! Don't be like,
Person I:

o.o See what I mean? It's going to get you both in trouble if we see this. So just kindly inform a mod or administrator about your problem, and we'll fix it for you. ^^;;

Mating / Breeding / Birthing.

Okay, so, we all know that sooner or later our characters are going to want to mate or have kits. Completely natural for kitties, right? Cats are animals, and they have instincts too. So, as soon as you feel like you've found someone for your character, it could be almost time to breed. If you and the other person agree on breeding, take into consideration the season and the time when your she-cat is likely to produce kits. Also, remind yourself that when you do breed, then type up your post in a rating-friendly manner, then, if you want something more, take it to PMs. You are able to choose how many kits you have, but just remember that you want it to be realistic. And you are able to choose the color/names of your kits, too. EVERY kit must start out with a "-kit" as a suffix. The pre-fix could be whatever you want. And. . . Yeah.

Mary / Gary Sues. A.K.A "Perfect Characters."

Okay, annoying character prevention rule number two! Mary/Gary Sues are SO annoying. They're like, perfect characters who never do anything wrong, have no weaknesses, and absolutely NO flaws. They aren't welcomed here. Make your character fun and impressive! Don't copy off of people's characters, either. Main rule for this one is NO PERFECT CHARACTERS.

KEEP ALL CHARACTERS ON DIFFERENT ACCOUNTS.

Believe me, it makes it easier. I would suggest you make all your accounts have the same password. It would make it easier for you, and. . . yeah. O.o

Your character tally.

Mainly try not to have over six [6] characters. And that's a lot. So, remember, 1-6 characters is fine, but, go over that limit, and, although you're allowed to have as many characters as you want, you'll be pretty busy. So just think before you make 'em.

Account / Character Activity.

Okay, so, as mentioned before, be active please! But, if you're going away or leaving for over two [2] weeks, then you're going to have to tell us via PM or post a thread. A thread would be preferred.

Third-Person vs. First-Person

This has always been an ongoing war on the many sites I have been on. Third POV vs. First POV. Well, here on this site, we will all be using Third Person POV. Confused? Don't be! Here's an example of the two POVs:

FIRST PERSON:
As I snuck through the forest, my ears pinned to my head and body low to the ground, I heard a small rustle behind me. It was, to my surprise, a large fox who was staring at me like I was lunch. Taking a few slow steps back, I tried to keep calm.

Calm is good, I kept telling myself, calm is good . . .

That would be incorrect. Now, try it like this:

THIRD PERSON:
As Ivyscar snuck through the forest, her ears pinned to her head and body low to the ground, she heard a small rustle behind her. It was, to her surprise, a large fox who was staring at her as if she were it's lunch. Taking a few slow steps backwards, Ivyscar tried to keep calm.

Calm is good, she kept telling herself. calm is good . . .

Congrats! You just won the game!

Post Length

Simple rule: make your posts at least . . . Well, at the moment, we have no 'limit'~

Double-Posting

No double-posting. Why? It gets annoying. For those who don't know, double-posting is when you don't wait for the next person to post, and you just keep posting . . . and posting . . . and posting. Here's an example:

THREAD RATINGS TO THE RESCUE

So, we have agreed on a Thread-rating system to keep this site interesting! So . . . yeah! Here it is:

[G] - The thread will be automatically rated "G" if no rating is put in the subject. This means that it's kid-friendly, and has little to NO cussing/swearing. It also means paper-cut violence, and ZERO sexually explicit stuff!

[PG] / [PG-13] - This means that parental guidance is suggested for people under the age of 13. More cussing/swearing, violence that's not that descriptive, and HINTING at sexually explicit stuff.

[R] - This means drugs, sex, language and other stuff we SHOULD NOT use unless it's like, completely necessary to the thread/nature to the thread characters. On this site, it means a few curses that are harsh, like shit, F-ck [yes, the "-" must be there!], and other stronger words that you probably already are aware of. It also means more hinting at sex, if not having sex or strong hinting at sex. Drug abuse [which I really don't know how cats would use drugs, but, be creative] and/or alcohol abuse. Sooo. . . Yeah. It also means gory, descriptive violence/fight scenes.
